| Okay, I know that Simone is considered a mezzo soprano. But there are, as far as I know, three "types" of mezzo. Mezzo Coloratura - These singers are capable of real flexibility and agility (like a mezzo version of Sharon, who can perform all sorts of fast vocal passages); this is a rare voice type, or fach Lyric Mezzo - The most common kind, it is lachrymose, beautiful, etc. Dramatic Mezzo - These singers can sing over a full orchestral climax, their voice soaring up and over the sound of the orchestra. Now, does anyone have an idea which one is Simone??? Jenna |

| From your description of each voice, I'd put Simone as a Lyric Mezzo, but I know FA about this sort of thing. I always thought Sharon was a soprano, not a mezzo-soprano. |

| Sharon is probably a Lyric Coloratura Soprano. That's what I meant. Jenna |

But comparing her low notes from The Phantom Agony to her high notes from The Divine Conspiracy I'd say lyric |
That's why I'm sayin' she's a Colatura, she has a More diverse range of notes (low and very high notes) |
